New Works by Dave Moore and Andy Acquaro

September 5-28, with an opening reception on Friday, September 5

This September, The Bridge will host new works by local painter Dave Moore and local photographer Andy Acquaro.

Acquaro’s images are from a series called “Intimate Profiles.” The images invoke the experience of looking at a person from up close; the perspective is from the point where your vision is close enough to the person where your eyes are in focus & as you move closer your eyes are out of focus. The show will involve color works by Acquaro as well.

Moore’s paintings are started on raw canvas, and later mounted on panels and hung as diptychs and triptychs. The idea is to generate surprise, both for the artist as he works, and for the viewers of the finished product. Paintings are started with single sections of canvas and randomly-applied paint, with the intention that they will grow and expand, but without the foreknowledge of how or in what direction.

There will be an opening reception on Friday, September 5th, and the show will remain up during normal gallery hours (or by appointment) through the 28th.
