Darfur Benefit Concert
Friday, March 27, 2009 | 8pm | $10

The STAND Club at Monticello High School is excited to host a Benefit Concert for Darfur for the second year in a row. The STAND Club is a student coalition on a mission to stop the genocide in Darfur and prevent genocides elsewhere in the world. One of the most effective ways to accomplish this goal is by fundraising to contribute to groups that work directly in Darfur to alleviate the devastating effects of the human tragedy occurring there every day. The concert will feature local musician Eli Cook, Carl Anderson, Carleigh Nesbit and Client 9 from Monticello High School. One hundred percent of the money raised will go to the Civilian Protection Program sponsored by the Genocide Intervention Network.
