iConnect Photography Program – “El Rio” Book Release Party

Please join us Friday February 3rd from 5-7pm at PCA’s CitySpace Gallery for the iConnect photography program’s book release party. Now in the program’s sixth year, The Bridge PAI and Albemarle County Schools presents this year’s book El Rio. The month long exhibit will feature work by Albemarle County students from the Southwood and Westhaven communities. With creative partnerships through the Charlottesville Photography Initiative and Writer House, students worked with mentors for two weeks taking photos with digital and 35 mm format, and writing poetry about their images. The goal of the project is to utilize the mediums of writing and photography to capture the students individual experiences of visiting a river for the day.
