Chris Peck

Chris Peck is a composer working with and in-between a variety of new and old media including computer music, sound poetry, music for “untrained” musicians and audience participation, vocal and chamber music, and improvisation. His frequent work with dance has included collaborations with John Jasperse Company, David Dorfman Dance,RoseAnne Spradlin, and Beth Gill. Current projects include collaborations with Brussels-based choreographer Eleanor Bauer and Illinois-based performance artist and storyteller Deke Weaver. As a curator and organizer, he worked on the Live Sh– performance series with Chase Granoff (2006-2008, NYC) and the Movement Research Festival (2008, NYC). He also booked concerts at Canterbury House (Ann Arbor, 2000-2002). Chris is pursuing a PhD in Composition and Computer Technologies at the University of Virginia.
