Marc Lipson

Marc Lipson is a professor of finance at the University of Virginia’s prestigious Darden Graduate School of Business but considers his involvement with art and music to be his most important undertaking. He is a founding member and current Treasurer of board for the Bridge, a former board member of the University of Virginia Museum of Art and the SHEA Collaborative, a creator of the Athens Institute for Contemporary Art, and a member contributor at many arts organizations. He is also a bass player playing locally with the band Jeebus (electric) and at times with singer/songwriter Holly Allen (upright) and previously with the Gladstones (electric). In addition to his teaching of finance, he lectures on art collecting and the business of art. He shares his passion for art and music with his wife Ellen Climo and daughter Kira.
